Questions:
When Marlena gets dragged behind the curtain once they realize she's been bit, does she cough up blood, did she explode, or was she shot?
Were you hoping as much as I that Hud would get killed much earlier than he did? I mean, he had a few clever lines, but still.
Was that JJ Abrams at the party, in the argyle sweater? There's at least two shots of him, or someone who looks like him.
Was that a shout out to Blair Witch at the end when Beth and Rob are under the bridge in Central Park and she tells the camera 'she's so scared right now'?. It was minus the runny nose, but still.
Anyways, subplot premise aside (rescuing Beth instead of getting the heck out) I really liked it.

| | | | Damn, there are boards in this place. I need to click out of the room more often.
1. Stomach cavity explosion? Not long before that, a dead soldier was seen being carted off with such a hole and I think there was chatter of "a bite" around him. I heard from somewhere else that a (weak!) justification for this is the known ability of some parasites to inject anticoagulant in their host's blood to ensure yummier and easier access to their beverage of choice.
2. I was hoping the whole bunch of them was offed sooner and in grislier ways. There's something about spoiled upper-middle class pretty boys and girls that brings the misanthrope in me, sorry.
3, Was he there? Completely missed it.
4. Maybe? Didn't thought about it until you mentioned it. I was more bothered (ok, I need a kick in the balls if I get bothered about this kind of thing in a monster movie) thinking that even if the camcorder wasn't cooked at ground zero, how did it survive the EMP from the nuke? Which made me Google, which made me learn that they were too close for it, and the bomb's yield was probably way too low for an EMP to happen (assuming everybody had the sense of just lobbing a tactical warhead at the beastie and not level the whole fucking state with a hydrogen device). Next time someone tells you you can't learn shit from monster movies, you can quote this as the exception...
