| | | | Mav has asked me to leave a post here for all their online friends throughout the years...
It is with great sadness that I pass on the news to you that Jels (Cheryl) passed away quite suddenly on New Year's Day. Cheryl had a long term leg infection that never heeled over and had been in hospital earlier in December. Since then she was recuperating at home but took a turn for the worse and was readmitted to hospital on the 31st. After several attemps to revive her heart, the family had to finally let her go. The official cause of death was a blood clot in the lung.
Cheryl's daughter has been in contact with Mav and wants to thank all of her friends in the chat room for the years of friendship with her mother. The memorial service will be held on Saturday at 1 pm at her church and her ashes scattered on a mountain in Salt Lake City.

Jels was such a warm and friendly person and brought smiles to everyone around her. She will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting her. My thoughts and prayers to her family and all those who were close to Cheryl.

| | | | | I didn't know Jels all that well... chatted with here a bit here and there. But I do know she was incredibly special to you Mav. I can't even come close to imagining how much her loss must hurt. But for whatever it's worth, you have my condolences and my support. |

i couldn't believe it at first hearing it from crazy.
Jels was a special friend of ours for many years.
She was a great person, so sweet and caring to those that were fortunate to call her "friend"
i'm going to miss our chicken dance we used to do with my twin crazy. we even have our special icon made just for that funny dance we used to do.
my thoughts and prayers go out to her family and my mentor Maverick.
it's not going to be the same....
Maverick....we're here for you...know that. if you need a shoulder...need an ear...crazy and i will always be there for you. i know how special she was to you. that sweet connection you and she had. a connection like that only comes once in a lifetime. my thoughts and prayers are with you always. we love you mentor of ours. *hugs tight* |

| | | | i knew both Maverick & Jels at another chat site before i made the pork "fully" my home to chat in.. i didn't know Jels that well but she was always a lovely lady to talk to.. she will be missed very much by all that knew her..
