| | | | I saw Transformers yesterday and I didn't think it was that bad. The human characters were great.
Has anyone else seen this? What did you think? |
| | | | | I just got back from watching this movie and the only word that keeps coming to mind (other than WHAT THE FUCK?) is ridiculous. Granted not always in a bad way.
that story was asinine, the writing crap. but no one is going to this movie for that. as my friend succinctly puts it "I wanna see big fucking robots blow shit up." and you are rewarded with big fucking robots blowing shit up.
I'm pretty sure the friends i watched it with were covering massive boners because it's a boner inducing movie. it's no citizen kane but thats not what the movie is meant to be. Micheal Bay still can't make a love story function but he's smart enough to not make it a focal point in this one (like he did with pearl harbor and Armageddon)
but I'm off to bed...so i can get up and go watch it again. |
| | | | | | We saw Transformers opening night and I was pleasantly surprised. I liked it much more than I thought I would. Seemed to be plenty of people there re-living their childhood Transformer toys (I know my husband and brother-in-law were). The action sequences were happening so fast they were making me queasy - I'd like to see it again in oh, a month from now once the second trimester hits and I can watch all of it rather than just bits and pieces. *laughs* |
