| | Other function I was thinking of doing, a tour of Ft Calgary. We can go on an official tour, or just take some time to wander the fort. Suggested tour time is about 2 hours and offers a fair bit. 10+ people get us in for 7.50/person, otherwise it's 10.50 for adults, and slightly less for seniors... but, I don't think anyone's quite that old... lol.
Karene asked me a good question: Is anyone planning on renting a car when they get here? I know Entangler's got some things to do during the days, so he'll be around in the evenings. With my pickup, I can fit 3-4 people in there, 5 if we shoehorn everyone in. I don't know how much shuttling the hotel will do, probably not much. I'm toying with the idea, depending on how many come, of maybe renting a mini van for the weekend and everyone can chip in for the cost of it...

| | well BJ like i said before i have family there so i am kinda thinking i am going to be committed to them for daytime thingies.... so i can't really offer rides to and from anywhere or say yes i'll do this or that, if time allows or family gets sick of me earlier ..i'm there... but they still kinda sorta like me so.....
travelling around and about the city is taken care of for me (the family thing), however if we are to be doing any kind of drinking in the evenings...how about we do it the right way..cab it from place to place..that ensures we all get to and from safley and responsibly
i'm opting no to the van thing just to be clear on that

Cabbing it would be an option, I guess, if we can find a cab company that has a mini van or something as big to wheel most of us around. If we can all go at one time, would help to get us to things easier....
any other thoughts?

| | i am just talking bout cabbing it in the evening to and from a club
even a couple cabs would work , i mean 4 people minium can fit in a cab so $$ wise divide that by 4 and its pretty economical
daytime is up to you guys like i said i am committed to family, but cabbing would stil be an option that could be affordable

| | M'dear, I agree. Cabbing from club to club would be good, then nobody's responsible for driving and we can all party down. Daytime, since it's really only going to be the one day of gettin around, renting a minivan might not be a bad plan. hmmmm, will have to make some inquiries, I'm thinking

Sorry bout that, was a stressful day yesterday, spouted where I shouldn't have.
YES, the Cdn Pork Party is STILL ON!!! I am SO looking forward to meeting people I wouldn't otherwise get to know, to turn online acquaintances into R/T friends. There have been a couple people who have had something else come up and are unable to be with us (you will be missed IamnotaSuperhero and Snowy), but still have quite a few others making the trek to Calgary. If you're just passing thru and all you have is an evening to join us, please do!!! We'd love to have you stop in; if you want, page me and we'll see what we can arrange for details on visitation!!! If you know anyone else who has been talking about coming to the party but hasn't committed, grab them by the collar and drag them here!! j/k... heheh

| | BDestiny, I don't know for sure. I know enjoying had talked about it, but I don't know if anything was for certain decided, cuz I've not heard anything definite. The one's I've listed are the definite ones, everyone else is a wild card. Anyone's invited to come, the booking and such for hotel rooms at group rates is past, so anyone that comes now is paying full market value for the room... As for you going down to Folsom, I can't promise we'll be as much fun as that. *W*... but ya never know You're more than welcome to come!!!!
